Temporary art gallery in Chiswick - 15th & 16th October
Neal's Yard Galleries have set up another art gallery in unused office space right on Chiswick roundabout. It's open on Friday 1-4pm and Saturday 1-4pm of this week, before it reopens somewhere else. A lot of the work is going on to the Affordable Art Fair if it doesn't sell (although there were quite a few red stickers last week..). The paintings, sculpture and ceramics are really good and very competitively priced. A wide range of artists and a great mix of work in a good sized space! Their website is www.nealsyardgalleries.com for further information and directions.
I'm after a small kitchen table/desk for my studio so doesn't have to be posh - it'll soon be covered in paint and ink...!
If you have one you'd like to sell at a reasonable price, pls email me:
..between 'STREETS' and the station.
If no one comes forward after a month has passed I'll donate it to Lynn's Bowel Cancer charity.
Reply here if it is yours...
Cleaner needed 3 hours a week
We are looking for a reliable and affordable cleaner for 3 hours a week.
Would prefer to find someone through word of mouth than through a company, any recommendations very much appreciated.
All the best

Hi can anyone recommend a good cleaner please?
I'm looking for a two bed flat to rent in the Twickenham side of St Margarets for myself and my young daughter. I'm a professional, reliable working Mum with great references and am keen to find us a home! Any leads appreciated as we have to vacate our current home late Oct/early November.

London Freegive: Give or get free stuff in your own town
Reusing items saves money, reduces waste and is a way to do something positive for the environment. Items we throw away such as bed, television, clothes, furniture, printer, toys, sofa and computer can pass to someone in your community.
If you haven't heard yet, there is a wonderful organization called Freegive Group ( www.freegive.co.uk ). Free Give Group connects people who are giving and getting unwanted items for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills and, at the same time, helping someone in your community by gifting them the item you no longer need. Another benefit of using Freegive is that it encourages poeple to get rid of junk that we no longer need and promote community involvement in the process. By using Freegive, not only are you able to get rid of your item with the minimum of fuss; you will also be doing your part in stopping another reusable item ending up in a landfill. It's completely free to join.
Freegive group is active in all London boroughs. Find a group near you at www.freegive.co.uk/londonfg.htm
Post an ad for free: Post your job, car, van, motorbike, pet, property, local business services, freebies, flatshare, house for sale or room to rent ad for free in London. Visit London Freegive at www.freegive.co.uk/londonfreegive.htm
How freegive group works:
Note: If you need an item you can request one on your local freegive group in the same way by posting an item WANTED message to the group and if someone has what you're looking for they will contact you to offer it.
This is a great idea! Encouraging people to reuse and recycle things by giving them away and not sending them to the garbage bin!
I think freegive ( www.freegive.co.uk ) is a great way to build a bond in the community and it's always good to recycle. I think it's a fantastic idea and everyone should join!
