For those new to the areas, this local tradition, which has gone on since time immemorial, or at least since 2003, involves residents clearing out their attics, sheds and children's bedrooms and setting up stalls in or near their front gardens or in the various spaces around the area which don't front on to gardens directly. Part recycling fest, and part solution to how to shift that surplus of tomatoes, the event attracts people from miles around. NSMRA collects a levy towards admin costs of £2 per stall for residents and £5 for non-traders from nearby. Times 1pm-4pm.
Also on that day will be held the equally traditional "Beating of the Bounds", where local children dress up and parade around. This year, the Beating of the Bounds will co-incide with the street sale rather than being in the morning - meeting time 2.30pm at the Northcote Road Bridge.
