Hounslow and District History Society : LICENSED TO SELL: THE BRENTFORD MAGISTRATES' COURT PUB WATERCOLOURS

The speakers are Mary and James Marshall of Hounslow Libraries Local Studies.

Mary and James will, in their illustrated talk, explain how the 19 th Century watercolours which had hung in the Magistrates' Court were, when it closed in 2011, were transferred to the Hounslow Local Studies' Collection.

The artist was J T Wilson and he depicted local pubs. The speakers have conducted research into the artist, the gift of the pictures to the Court by Andrew Pears and the histories of the local pubs depicted.

This promises to be a most revealing lecture on some local landmarks of our hostelries. Non-Members of the society are welcome with an entrance fee of £2.00 which includes tea or coffee and biscuits.
