Victorian Leisure: The Organisation of the Recreation in London is the subject of Hounslow and District History Society's next virtual public meeting. It is on Tuesday 23 February 2021 at 7.15pm. The lecturer is Mr Ian Bevan, a City of London Guide.

The evening will be one of much-needed light relief at this time. Mr Bevan will describe how the Victorians were the first to organise leisure time and activities. This included family sing-sings, walks in the park and going to the seaside. He will also cover their appreciation of the theatre and all forms of music.

The next virtual meeting will take place on Tuesday 30 March 2021. The subject is Hayes - The Music Capital of the World by Joanna Hughes, the Curator and Manager of the EMI Archive Trust.
