Hounslow's Roman Road is the subject of Hounslow and District History Society's first virtual public meeting. It is on Tuesday 24 November 2020 at 7.15pm. The lecturer is James Marshall, formerly of Hounslow Libraries' Local Studies.
James will explain that Hounslow's Roman Road (A315) is the very backbone of the modern London Borough of Hounslow. He will show how the Roman Roads were built, describing the trajectory of the A315. It features among the national network of Roman roads, being one of the five most important trunk routes in Roman Britain.
