Animals have appeared in art for millennia as decorative motifs, objects of wonder, and symbols of human triumphs and foibles. These 3 lectures will look at some of the most well-known and loved works of art, the symbolic representations of animals and their meaning, and one of England's most loved artist and his incredible depiction of especially horses.
