Multiple JUNO Award-winning singer songwriter Stephen Fearing has recently released Between Hurricanes, his first solo album since 2006's acclaimed Yellowjacket. Born out of several life-changing events, Between Hurricanes is both the document and result of many significant changes for Fearing.
"In 2006, I released Yellowjacket. Though I didn't know it at the time, it marked the end of many things and the beginning of so many more," says Fearing. "My marriage of 14 years ended shortly after the record came out." In addition to continuing recording and touring with Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Stephen began a collaboration with Belfast's Andy White (Fearing & White). He also got remarried, became a father, and still continued to tour relentlessly.
Nashville based "folk-crooner" Melissa Greener's songs display quirkily crafted lyrics, dynamic melody and effervescent groove. Transistor Corazon, her newly released third album, fuses modernist poetry with soulful 1960s Laurel Canyon.
