Twickenham Rowing Club was founded in 1860 and is one of the oldest and largest rowing clubs in London. The club, based on Eel Pie Island, sits on a uniquely beautiful stretch of the Thames which makes it an idyllic place to row.
We have a reputation as a friendly, sociable and welcoming club that caters for rowers of all ages and levels of experience. We are currently benefiting from sustained growth in membership and our ever-stronger senior squads cater for professionals with demanding careers who also want to race at Henley.
Twickenham Rowing Club owns a fleet of over 60 boats of various types, maintained to ensure that every squad has access to the correct equipment for their level of rowing. We also provide secure racking for privately-owned single sculling boats.
We have very nearly finished extensive refurbishments to our clubhouse that includes a well-equipped gym, a large air-conditioned ergo/spinning room and a four-position rowing tank.
Our Club Room boasts a magnificent fully stocked bar with beautiful balcony views over the river, along with kitchen facilities and a full audio-visual system. The room is available for hire.
