Set up and sponsored by Richmond upon Thames College as an evening class seven years ago, Richmond Community Choir is now an independent charitable trust with around 40 friendly and welcoming members of all ages united by their enjoyment of singing. Led by an inspiring and experienced director/composer/arranger, we build a changing repertoire of shorter pieces, which lead to two performances a year; and covering a wide range of both secular and sacred music from the middle ages up to pop and musical classics.
Membership of the Choir is open to all and is without audition, and although sheet music is provided, sight reading is not necessary.
Rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings during term time, 6.30pm - 8.00pm at The Hall, Orleans Primary School, Hartington Road, St Margarets (follow signs to the Nursery).
There is a termly subscription of £45.00, including materials.
New members are very welcome at any rehearsal; for further information contact our Director, Chris Mitchell, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or on 01737 243791.
