Residents are being reminded that their collection times will be subject to change over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

On the 23rd and 24th December, normal day collections will take place. From Christmas Day (Wednesday 25th December), Richmond Council will carry out waste and recycling collections from domestic properties, two days later than usual.

Normal day collections will take place on 30th and 31st December and collections scheduled for 1st, 2nd, 3rd January will take place a day later than normal from New Years’ day onwards. Normal collection days will resume on Monday 6th January 2020.

Residents are asked that if they have excessive paper or card collections which cannot be deposited in their recycling containers, they are asked to consider taking this to a local street recycling site or to the Household Waste and Recycling Centre at Townmead Road, Kew.

Recycling Box Deliveries, Bulky Waste Special Collections and Garden Waste Collections will continue through until 20th December 2019 and will recommence on 6th January 2020.

Real Christmas Trees will be collected between 6th January and 17th January 2020. Alternatively, you can take your Christmas tree to:

Our waste and recycling teams will be working very hard to ensure Christmas and New Years’ collections are completed throughout the borough but please be mindful that due to heavy workloads some collection crews may be undertaking collections later than normal. If you do need to report a missed collection this can be done online www.richmond.gov.uk/report_a_missed_collection
