The Borough’s music fans are being encouraged to come rock the weekend away on Richmond Riverside during the first weekend of August.

The Richmond Riverside Music Festival is brought to you by VisitRichmond, which is part of the Council’s Economic Development Team, together with the Crawdaddy Club, Eel Pie Island Museum, Basement Door and Duck Pond Market, with over ten acts lined up to entertain you and your family and friends.

The Festival runs from 11am-6pm on Saturday the 4th and Sunday 5th August 2018. Entry is completely free but residents are encouraged to get there early as crowd numbers will be managed throughout the day.

On Saturday Connie Lush Band, arguably one of the finest blues music singers in the UK today will be performing. She is the winner of ‘Best Female Vocalist UK’ no less than five times, has earned Connie her place in the Gallery of Greats, alongside Alexis Korner and Eric Clapton to name just two. On Sunday, Mack, one of the most exciting bands to grace clubs and festivals throughout the UK, will be live on stage

Cllr John Coombs, Cabinet Member for Arts, Culture and Sport said:

“The borough’s musical heritage is well-known with many famous artists including The Who and the Stones cutting their teeth at clubs on Eel Pie Island. Richmond Music Festival celebrates this heritage with a variety of acts lined up to entertain the crowds.

“Set on the beautiful Richmond Riverside it promises to be a summer weekend to remember so come on down and get there early to avoid missing out!”
