We have some art that will soothe the soul coming to a library near you over the coming months.
A touring pop-up exhibition, Art & Soul, which celebrates arts for wellbeing is being shown at libraries across the borough. It uses creative activity and positive engagement to support mental wellbeing in our communities.
Art & Soul runs weekly arts and wellbeing workshops for adults and young people with mental wellbeing challenges; outreach workshops with local NHS mental health centres, hospitals and residences; pop-up art exhibitions, and a biennial exhibition of member artwork.
The exhibition is on show at:
Hampton Library until 27th November Twickenham Library from 28th November to 11th December Richmond Lending Library from 12th December to 2nd January
Cllr David Linnette, Cabinet member for Culture, Sport and the Voluntary Sector said:
“Art & Soul is a fantastic programme which shows how being artistic and creative can have a real impact on our mental wellbeing.
“This is a wonderful exhibition for you all to enjoy. So I hope you come along to your local library and have a look!”
