The New Georgians Exhibition - 3 May to 27 July 2014

The New Georgians celebrates the tercentenary of the Hanoverian accession. This exhibition, part of the Richmond upon Thames Georgian Festival, commemorates this historical event through a display exploring the life and local links of Queen Caroline of Ansbach (1683-1737), wife of King George II. Caroline lavishly dined in the Octagon Room on a visit here in 1729. Her husband’s mistress, Henrietta Howard, lived at the nearby Marble Hill House.

Event Reminder: The Teddington Summer Music Festival - 11 May 2014

After a very successful first summer music festival in 2013, the music festival returns to Normansfield Theatre for the second night on Sunday, 11th May 2014 with Viennese Sunrise. The highly regarded Artesian Quartet perform Beethoven’s String Quartet in E Minor, and Haydn’s String Quartet in Bb, Op 76 No.4 (the ‘Sunrise’). Tony Lamb (clarinet) joins them for Mozart’s popular Clarinet Quintet in A, K581.

Get Your Bike Marked at St Margarets Station - 30 April 2014

Richmond Safer Transport Team and the Local Police Team are working in partnership to conduct a cycle marking operation commencing next week. This activity is part of Op SPOKE and will take place over 14 week days at 14 different train stations to give commuters across the borough a chance to have their cycles marked for free as a crime prevention initiative.

Chiswick and Latymer Cricket Club - Summer 2014

Our summer training programme has just started and we are keen for local children to come along and enjoy participating in cricket.

We are based at Whitton Park (190 Wills Crescent, Hounslow TW3 2JD) and training takes place every Sunday from 10am - 12pm. This will continue until the end of the school term in July 2014.

Local community choir Vocality is a fun and friendly choir which offers a warm welcome to new members. We sing and perform uplifting harmony songs - jazz, gospel, folk, pop - from around the world, without sheet music so anyone can do it. It’s a great way to meet local people, and to boost your energy and spirits. Our summer term begins on Tuesday 29th April 2014 with weekly rehearsals (8.00 - 10.00pm) at St Mary’s School, Richmond Road.
