Tuck for Tots is passionate about tasty home cooked food, healthy eating and families enjoying meal time together around the kitchen table. Run by local Mum, Elaine Baxter, Tuck for Tots knows that all parents want what’s best for their family but not all children are enthusiastic about food! The aim is to give Mums and Dads the know-how to create simple delicious meals that will be loved by all the family.
Perhaps you didn’t cook much before you had children and need some classes to build your confidence? Or you already like to cook but would appreciate some inspiration to refresh your menu. Maybe you have little time during the week and want to know how to knock out great meals in twenty minutes? Our classes range from the basics of weaning to cooking meals that are suitable for Mums, Dads, teenagers, little ones and babies!
Tuck for Tots are running free introductory classes this summer. Classes will be tailored to meet individual and / or group needs and will address questions like:
- How to wean your baby (introduction to recipes for purees & baby-led weaning)
- Inspiration for toddler meals
- New ideas for lunch boxes & snacks
- Simple healthy dinners for the whole family
You take home what we cook during the classes giving you a head start to have tasty tuck in the freezer for your next meal-time!
Tuck for Tots is based in St Margarets, but we are happy to come to you and cook in your kitchen. Do you have a Mum’s group / NCT class / Buggyfit class that you’d like to have a cookery lesson with? We can do day or night time sessions - have a coffee morning or a cheese & wine party with your friends! Bring your babies along & explore some new cookery inspiration in a fun and easy-going environment.

St Margrets is my shining start. I am one of those parents who tried everything at my disposal to bring my family together at mealtimes but i have failed miserably. It is not so much food which is creating the problem, but the whole lifestyle of the kids i am worried about. The first thing i can change is the food put on the table. I am a very normal cook with no exotic skills but i like to think that i am fairly good in what i muster. However, if i take you classes i have a feeling that i will have a whole new blog of treats to entice the family with. I am trying to get a group of us together to visit you one morning and learn all that we can from you. Running this as a free service is really unbelievable. How do you manage that? Please let me know if you are running classes in the morning these days so that i might arrange a date.
