Your local traders are getting ready to celebrate The Queens Diamond Jubilee.
We’re going to be turning St Margarets red, white and blue to celebrate the Jubilee. A special edition of the My St Margarets magazine will be published in May and we’re planning a Jubilee gala event on Sunday 3rd June.
My St Margarets Magazine
We’re planning a special edition of the magazine and are looking for your stories and pictures to be included in the edition. Do you have any special recollections of previous Jubilee celebrations? or even The Queen’s Coronation? Where were you in 52? or perhaps you have a special anniversary of your own that you would like to share with us? Please send your ideas and suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org
On Sunday 3rd June we’re hosing a Jubilee Fair in Crown Road St Margarets from 11am – 4pm. The fair will be just like our usual summer fair with lots of family fun and games planned but will also include a traditional street party to celebrate the Jubilee. If you are not having a street party of your own – then come along to ours! We shall be hosting a tea party for the children who will be able to tuck into a jubilee tea whilst being entertained by a magician, Punch and Judy and some surprise guests. The children will also receive a special Jubilee gift to treasure. More details about the fair and how you can book a tea party ticket will be posted here soon.
The fair will also be supporting local schools and charities including Jonny’s Journey
