Richmond Councillors Approve CO2 Based Parking Charges

Last night the Cabinet of Richmond Council voted to implement parking charges for CPZ permits based on the CO2 emissions of their vehicles.

The consultation showed that 47% of respondents said they were in favour, 39% were opposed with the balance undecided. The consultation also indicated that almost 2/3 (64%) indicated that the new charges would make them consider changing to less polluting vehicles.

Richmond College Community Choir is Singing Again

Richmond College Community Choir is up and running again after its successful debut in the RUTC College “Music at Christmas” concert. Practices take place at Richmond College Music Centre, Egerton Road. Wednesdays, 6.30 - 8.00pm; £2.00 a session, £1.00 concessions. All very welcome, and no experience necessary. This term’s programme includes Fauré, Cole Porter, spirituals and more besides.

Double Yellow Lines for St Stephen's School

Sometime in the next month, double yellow lines will be added to the junctions of Winchester Road near St Stephen’s CE Junior School. Hopefully this will remove many of the dangerously parked cars which make it difficult for children to safely cross the street.
