Oisin Rogers, the manager of the The St Margarets Tavern is leaving after three years that have seen a massive turn-around for the pub. Since the pub reopened its does after remodelling and the dinning room extension, the pub has become hugely popular every night of the week and with the Rugby crowds. Oisin has also been a big supporter of the local community, always ready to help with sponsoring local events and often hiring many of the bands that play at the street fairs.
“I will be very sad to leave The St Margarets Tavern after three brilliant years. I was offered the opportunity to to run two fabulous businesses (one is the Boathouse in Putney). I have decided to oversee both of them and will be employed by Youngs Brewery. I do however hope to keep The St Margarets Tavern as my local.”

We will be sorry to see Oisin leave, he has really changed the St Margarets Tavern for the better, and he has been an important contributor to the St Margarets Fair running the Beer Tent. We wish him well in his new job.
Ann Murray on 2006-02-23 20:12:43 +0000It's a real shame to see Oisin leave. The new guys have a massive challange to compete with the standards set, and already seem to be failing - perhaps more staff will turn up eventually to serve beers so we won't have to wait 30 minutes for an ale.
J on 2006-04-25 14:59:36 +0000This is not a pub, it is a drinking and feeding station run by accountants. Food is dreadful, drinks overpriced and atmosphere non existent. A tragic destruction of a once great pub.
